The next Dean of Science Colloquium will be Wednesday, October 30th, 2013.
Tom Leighton, CEO and Co-Founder of Akamai Technologies, will discuss
"Akamai: From Theory to Practice."

Tom Leighton received his PhD in Mathematics from MIT in 1981 and is
currently on our faculty as Professor of Mathematics and member of CSAIL.
In September 1998, Tom co-founded Akamai Technologies, the leading cloud
platform for helping enterprises provide secure, high-performing user
experiences on any device, anywhere.

The Dean's colloquium series was established to recognize and celebrate
scientists who have chosen innovative, non-traditional career paths and
who have been unusually successful.
