The session will provide details about Ashoka University and the opportunity it offers for teaching, research and institution building in an emerging economy like India.

Speakers: Vineet Gupta, Rakesh Jaggi and Sudheendra Hangal

About the speakers:
Vineet Gupta is Founder and Trustee at Ashoka University. He is also the Managing Director of Jamboree Education, a leading education services provider in India. He has a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and is currently based in New Delhi, India.
Rakesh Jaggi is Founder and Trustee at Ashoka University. He is also Vice-President at Schlumberger, an oil field services company. He has a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Delhi and is currently based in Houston, Texas.
Sudheendra Hangal is Associate Professor of Practice in Computer Science at Ashoka University. His research focuses on the areas of human-computer interaction, social media and personal digital archives. He has a Ph.D. from Stanford University.
