Reminder Subject: TALK: Software Update Systems: Attack and Defense

Software update systems form a critical link in the software supply chain as they provide a mechanism for software users to receive new features, security patches, and more. However, software updates themselves have been a vector of attack in many recent exploits. In this talk, Marina Moore will discuss attacks on software update systems and present The Update Framework (TUF), a framework for secure software updates designed to prevent these attacks. TUF has been used in practice by both tech companies and open source projects.
